The Beginning of Something New

Hey Everyone!

If you are reading this right now and are thinking, "What?! Carrie is going to Ireland?!" I apologize personally that I haven't told you yet! Being that I am still in the beginning stages of this mission process, I haven't really told anyone yet. Just to update you all on the trip I will be embarking on a mission to Ireland for 11 months in July and here is some more information about it all so that you can know more fully about it:

The program I will be a part of is through a mission organization called One Mission society and I will be what is called an eXtreme Walker! eXtreme Walk is an opportunity to learn from and serve alongside local church planters. I will be trained for one month to learn how to share the gospel and how to make disciples of the people in this culture. Our goal is to start worshipping bodies of believers that start other worshipping bodies of believers. After training is complete, I will go to Ireland and live among the people! All aspects of my life, time, and energy will be invested in this mission as I seek to further God's kingdom. In other words, I will be a missionary!

Some of you may be thinking, "Ireland for a mission?"  I though that too when God was pointing me in this direction, but what he has shown me is that just because they aren't a third world with all the problems that comes with, they still need Jesus just as everyone else does. Very soon now I will be sending out support letters to friends and family, and my fundraising process will begin! I'd like to say that in this time if God is putting it on your heart to help support me financially, that I would be very much appreciative! If, however, that is not something you are able to do at this time, that you keep me in prayers every night! Prayer is a very powerful thing and I can assure you that I will need as much of it as possible as continue on this path. Pray that God provides all funding needed for my trip, pray that I can find strength in God to fight the spiritual warfare that is sure to come, pray that God uses me in awesome ways to evangelize to the Irish people, and pray that I find comfort and family in God and those I will be surrounded by in Ireland, for I will be very far away from my own family and homesickness is sure to come as well.

Thank you so much in advance for all of the support you have given me in the past and for all of the support you will give me now, whether that is through prayer or financial support! I love you all so much and you will be in my prayers as well in the walks of life that God has you on now.
